North Charleston, SC – Trident United Way, a leading local nonprofit organization committed to fostering positive change and development within the Tri-County, is pleased to announce the launch of the Changemaker Grants program. This initiative aims to mobilize resources and empower local nonprofits dedicated to making a difference in our community.
The Changemaker Grants program will offer investments toward an agency's effectiveness, efficiency and future sustainability by providing resources to improve or expand the organization’s mission. Trident United Way will award Changemaker Grants in four cycles before June 30, 2024, with a minimum pool of $100,000 per cycle. Each grant cycle will have a specific focus, beginning with capacity-building grants. Individual grant totals awarded will vary based on the particular project and monetary request from each winning agency. The exact dates for each round of funding will be shared on TUW.org and Trident United Way’s social media channels.
The first cycle of Changemaker Grants will focus on capacity building, looking at the inner workings, means and systems of an organization by supporting areas including, but not limited to, skill-building for staff members, diversity and equity initiatives, leadership development, management training and strategic planning.
Applicants are invited to submit project proposals outlining their visions for positive change in the Tri-County and how they plan to implement these initiatives. Applications will be open from August 23 – September 11, 2023. Details on eligibility, requirements and the application process can be found here: https://www.tuw.org/changemaker
