Trident United Way & Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce team up for Lead United

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC – Back for its second successful year, Trident United Way’s pioneering Lead United program is here with a new session.

Trident United Way is teaming up with the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce to find people who want to take their leadership to higher levels. The six-week program focuses on educating professionals and skill-building for board-level service opportunities.

“The Chamber is proud to partner with Trident United Way on the Lead United program, said Erica Deese, Charleston Metro Chamber Leadership and Programs Manager. “Both organizations recognize the need for board development and skills training in our community, especially among young professionals. This partnership extends our reach to further our impact of developing leaders.”

Trident United Way hopes to build up the local nonprofit sector across the Tri-County with high performing boards by developing a pool of trained and ready-to-serve volunteers who can fully understand the workings of nonprofits.

Applications are due by Feb. 24 for the series of six two-hour in-person sessions.
