North Charleston, SC — Trident United Way (TUW) is pleased to announce that it has received a $10,000 grant from the South Carolina chapter of the Employees Community Fund (ECF) of Boeing. This generous funding recognizes the significant impact that Trident United Way continues to have in the Tri-County region.

The funds were awarded as part of the ECF's ongoing commitment to support local nonprofits and community-driven initiatives. The ECF is funded directly by Boeing teammates, with grants distributed to organizations that align with the company’s mission of improving the quality of life in the communities where employees live and work.

"We are deeply honored to receive this generous support from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing," said President and CEO of Trident United Way DJ Hampton. "This grant underscores the ECF’s ongoing commitment to making a positive impact across our community, and will directly enhance our ability to address pressing needs of our neighbors across the Tri-County. With this funding, we will be able to provide essential resources that help families and individuals facing hardships, ensuring that we continue to create lasting change and a resilient community for years to come."

The $10,000 grant will be used to support Trident United Way’s FoodShare program, which provides Fresh Food Boxes at an affordable cost to the Tri-County community. Each box is filled with fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables, along with a flyer offering recipes, cooking tips and nutritional information. This program plays an important role in addressing food insecurity, ensuring that local families have access to healthy, affordable food options while also providing valuable resources to support healthy eating.

The Employees Community Fund of Boeing’s South Carolina chapter has long been a vital supporter of local causes, and this grant exemplifies the continued dedication of Boeing teammates to fostering positive change in the community.
