Trident United Way has become a designated Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sponsor bringing a vital service to our community!

VITA provides free tax preparation services to individuals and families with low to moderate income, offering them the support needed to maximize their refunds and achieve greater financial stability. This initiative directly aligns with our efforts to strengthen economic opportunity and promote financial resilience across our region.

You may qualify for tax preparation at no cost if you have an adjusted gross income of $60,000, regardless of filing status.

Scheduling your tax appointment

Tax filing clinics will begin tax preparation assistance on Monday, February 10.

Adjusted gross income of $60,000, regardless of filing status
Last year’s tax return
Any income information (W-2, 1099- G Unemployment, 1099-MISC, other 1099s & 1098 forms)
A government-issued ID
Social Security Card
Deduction and credit information
Healthcare coverage information (Form 1095-A, 1095-B, 1095-C, as applicable)
Any written correspondence from the IRS
TO E-FILE, you must have last year's AGI or PIN (if you do not have the AGI, tax transcripts can be accessed at www.irs.gov)
