Key
Public Policy Advocacy Positions
We
will work with key stakeholders at the local,
regional, and state levels to advocate for:
•
Moving the state’s education standard from “minimally
adequate” to “high quality.”
• Increasing public funding and support for
collaborative school/community partnerships,
including community learning centers.
• Providing the resources necessary to increase
prevention efforts, in addition to ongoing intervention
efforts, for both child abuse and high-risk
behaviors.
• Additional funding for after-school and extended
day learning opportunities for middle and high
school students.
